The website 'In debuurt' (In the Neighbourhood) has conducted a survey into the top 10 best restaurants in Nijmegen. They used IENS as their source, where hundreds of reviews are left daily. And guess what: restaurant ‘de Portier’ reached the number 1 position.

Restaurant ‘de Portier’ became restaurant of the month some years ago. In the Netherlands, 36 restaurants took part in the ‘Wijnspijs Wandelingen’ (WIne and Food Walks). In addition to Nijmegen, there were walks in Bergen op Zoom, Groningen, Doesburg, The Hague and Naarden. 6,948 dishes were served with almost the same amount of wine. Restaurant ‘de Portier’’stood out being the best Restaurant in the Survey!

For the newspaper section 'Over de Tong', a reporter from ‘De Gelderlander’ and a culinary expert went out for dinner anonymously with a budget of more than €35 pp (excluding drinks) for a three-course menu. Read their opinion about our restaurant...
